Job Crafting for Change Makers & Leaders
I have designed this workbook to guide you in proactively shaping your job to align with your unique preferences, strengths, and career goals. Job crafting involves making intentional changes to how you approach your work, which can lead to increased job satisfaction, engagement, and well-being.
In this workbook, you will be guided better to understand your strengths, values, and experiences. You will consider what your ideal job looks like in terms of internal motivation and how that ties into the external situation of your work. We will explore five key areas of job crafting: tasks, relationships, environment, development opportunities, and cognitive, often linked to purpose. Each section will provide insights, examples, and exercises to help you uncover opportunities for job crafting and create a more fulfilling and meaningful work experience.
Before jumping into the job crafting part of this workbook, I recommend first taking and/or looking up your results for the Clifton Strengths Finder (a paid test of about $20 USD), core values work, such as the VIA Character Strengths assessment. You can also do your own evaluation of your personal strengths and values.
A PDF workbook that you can print out to use the exercises or you can read it on your device and do the exercises on a notepad.
